Dr. Belon graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from Middlebury College, received her Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico, and received her DBSM (Diplomate in Behavioral Sleep Medicine) in 2024. She completed her internship in Albuquerque followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Pain and Sleep. She has maintained her connection with health psychology and behavioral sleep medicine since that time and has since achieved proficiency certification status in CBT-I. While many providers are trained in CBT-I, Dr. Belon has sought additional extensive training in the broader range of sleep disorders and is qualified to treat a wide variety of sleep-related issues, including clients who experience multiple sleep problems at the same time (i.e., insomnia as well as sleep apnea). Dr. Belon is also trained in treating other conditions that can impact sleep, such as trauma/PTSD and chronic pain. She is passionate about providing evidence-based interventions to aid with sleep and health more generally.
